I am the beneficiary to the burial benefit of my brother, Ireneo Solocasa single who passed away last September 18, 2008 with SSS No. 03-1721286-6. I filed the claim last Nov. 24, 2008 in SSS Shaw, Pasig. Everytime I made follow up since Dec 9, 2008 there are reasons given and in February 2009, they ask me to close the account because he is a pensioner. This requirement was not informed to me when I filed for the claim. I got angry then because how come it took them 3 months after to require that document. They even told me that I should be honest that I should have told them that my brother is a pensioner. Maybe I have interest on the pension of my brother. I answered back that you can check the bankbook even a single cent there was no withrawal after he passed away. I am not aware that it is a requirement. You should have advised us because you are always dealing with this claim or you must include that in the requirement for claim. They also informed me that the check was already issued but it is already staled and need to be replaced.

Finally last April 3, I have submitted all the required documents through Ms. Geraldine. She told me that she will just request for a new check in liew of the staled check. Last May 13, I made a follow up with Ms. Geraldine and she told me that the previous claim is not yet cancelled in the computer so the replacement check can not be processed. I made several follow up after and the same reason was given to me. The previous claim is still in the computer. Who is responsible to cancel the claim in the computer so that a new check will be issued to replace the staled check?

Note: I have sent an email regarding this before but I did not receive any reply.

hi, we would like to know if the dependent child can claim the burial benefits of our deceased father… the primary beneficiaries (our mother) cannot proceed because of no record of Birth Certificate in NSO no record of their Marriage certificates…. have inquired about the status of my contribution which i failed to continue for years and i asked question regarding the balance of a salary loan while i was still employed and days have passed any yet i got no answer. i used the sss online to facilitate speedy communication, but it did not work. is your assistance on the matter still possible?

I would like to inquire re pensioners who still
wants to work. In the event that the pensioner take up employment while he is already receiving pension, would his pension automatically stops? What is the process on this? Will the pensioner still contribute monthly? Will the pension stop?

I am a government employee, but I want to be a member of SSS, is it possible? I applied for retirement benefits here in Daly City, CA (Mr. M. Llanes) on 1/12/10 & was told that in 45 days after he sends my paper work that I will be getting a notice from SS office in P.I. As of todate (5/12/10), I have not received any notice or communication from the SS office in P.I. SS website is not working either. The instruction is that we will just register online with this website of SSS, and we can come to our SSS data by INTERNET access.

See if you can register effectively, anyone in the SSS office.

I tried to do so, several times, and nothing happened but the error message that I have not complied with filling up all the blanks for registering.

Just you try to register by this INTERNET way and see for yourselves whether you can get anywhere.

And please don’t say that I must write a personal letter of complaint with an affidavit, etc., etc., etc.

i just want to ask on what are we supposed to do becoz my brother in law passed away last may2010, sss told us that contribution hasnt been posted yet. so we did a follow up w/ my brother in law’s comp & contributions got posted last sept2010. sss told us that they are making an investigation against the company to see why the contribution took too long to post. do we still need to wait for them to figure out why when the contributions has already been posted? ask ko lang po kung gano ba talaga katagal ang pag release ng salary loan. two months na kasi hindi pa nakukuha ng ate ko yung loan nya at parang matatagalan pa. ni wala man lang specific explanation kung bakit natatagalan. basta ang sinasabi lang.. hindi alam kasi wala pa yung messenger yata. hindi rin naman sinabi kung about what yung dala ng messenger. kung dumating ba yun, kasama yung loan o sasabihin pa lang kung kailan makukuha yung loan. we badly need the loan now. naglagay na nga kami ng allowance, mukhang hindi pa aabot. sobrang tagal naman na ng 2 months.

how does the sss condonation work for employees with outstanding salary loan from previous employer.

Can we claim the lump sum of my mother? We are legitimate children. My father is still alive but we were abandoned for almost 29 years from now. However we knew his location and He had got married again using other name.In line with this my sister was advise to have an affidavit noting (duly signed of my father) that my father had abandoned us… together with his valid ID’s .Now our concern how can we give the said requirement while the valid can we give is only Birth certificate of my father. My father actually resides in Manila while we are currently residing in Cebu. Pls give us further clarifications of other options to hasten the transaction.

My mom married an american citizen 5 yrs ago but he left our mom 2 yrs before she died. Now we are trying to claim my mom’s benefits but the SSS’ one requirement is that we should prove that the american is nowhere to be found. How are we going to prove it?
